OK.....I put both of these here together just to show you that if you don't have the stamp set that I use....you can still make the card....just use a different stamp set. Or, use a different color cardstock! You can see that both of these have the same basic layout but different colors, different stamp sets and on the second one I stamped the "Happy Birthday" right on the back layer and on the first one I stamped on a smaller piece of cardstock and layered it!
Here's the "recipes" for both!
CARD ONE
Stamp sets: Perfect Petals & It's Your Birthday
Cardstock: Wild Wasabi, Certainly Celery & Whisper White
Ink: Staz-On Timber Brown, Summer Sun, Wild Wasabi, Groovy Guava
Other: Daisies Texturz Plate & Wild Wasabi Double Stitched Ribbon
CARD TWO
Stamp sets: Elegant Ornaments & It's Your Birthday
Cardstock: Cool Caribbean, Taken With Teal & Whisper White
Ink: Cool Caribbean & Taken With Teal

Happy Memorial Day everyone! Please, take a second and say a prayer of thanks for your friends and family members who have passed on. But, even more than that, say a prayer for all men and women in uniform, both past and present. We owe them all a HUGE debt of gratitude!
Now, the card above. I made this as a birthday card for a friend. The inspiration came from a card made by Crystal Erzen. I saw it on the Stamper's Showcase in the demo section of the Stampin' Up! website. The "recipe" is as follows:

Stamp sets: Happy Everything & Blooming with Happiness
Cardstock/Paper: Certainly Celery, Brocade Blue, So Saffron & Delicate Dots DSP
Ink: Brocade Blue, Certainly Celery & Staz-On Jet Black
Stampin' Write markers: Brocade Blue, Certainly Celery & So Saffron
Ribbon: Brocade Blue 5/8" Grosgrain

Gayla O'Dell's Purse

Is this not the cutest little thing you have ever seen? I got the idea and inspiration from Gayla O'Dell of MeGa Stampin Studio - http://www.megastampinstudio.com/ - when I saw it I just HAD to give it a try! SO cute but yet so very easy! My mother-in-law LOVES things like this so I'll be putting this in the mail tomorrow morning to go to her! Here is the recipe of the colors I used:
Cardstock: Regal Rose & Always Artichoke
Designer Series Paper: Georgia Peach
Ribbon: Always Artichoke 1/4" Grosgrain
Dies: Top Note Bigz, Scallop Circle & Scallop Circle 2
The button is not Stampin' Up! I didn't have a nice big pink button made by Stampin' Up! I probably had a shirt or jacket that had this button on it at one time.
I did glue the DSP to the Regal Rose before cutting it out to make that part of the purse stiffer.
Do be sure to go by MeGa Stampin Studio and tell them I sent you!

Block Party

Morning all! Here is my latest "creation". And, yes, it's for the birthday of another of the ladies on the LNS list! I did CASE this card from Splitcoast Stampers. Unfortunately I don't have anything to tell me who created the original! I used different colors and a different ribbon but otherwise it's basically the same as the card I saw at SCS. I really do like the combo of Lovely Lilac and Kiwi Kiss! Just looking at it makes me want some Sweet Tarts or Skittles! LOL Here's the "recipe" I used:
Stamp sets: Block Party & Big Bold Birthday
Cardstock: Lovely Lilac, Kiwi Kiss & Whisper White
Ink: Lovely Lilac & Kiwi Kiss
Other: Whisper White Taffeta Ribbon & the Scallop Circle punch (I used it for the top of the cupcake and just cut the circle in half)

Thanks for looking and have a great day!!!!

The "inspiration" for this card is a card I saw on the Stampin' Up! website in the demonstrators section. That card was made by Kay Marini. Here is the "recipe" I used for this card:

Cardstock: Barely Banana & Uptown Designer Series Paper

Ink: Basic Black

Other: Stampin' Write Markers in YoYo Yellow & Mellow Moss, gold brads, Ticket Corner punch & gold cord

Hope you like this one! Leave me a comment and let me know what you think!

Flowers #2 Texturz Plate

Morning all! I finally have something new to add here! After you are done looking here PLEASE don't forget the Blog Tour! If you look over on the sidebar to the right you will see stuff about the tour. Look down in the third paragraph and click on the "click here" link to get started! It will end tonight so you have ALOT of touring to do if you haven't started yet. There are not one, not two, but THREE tours going on! So, have a look at my card and then go touring!!!!!

I made this for the birthday of one of the girls on the LNS Yahoo Group. I do hope she likes it! I've been making cards for everyone who is having a birthday. I just SO love making cards but I think my family is SICK of getting cards from me (OK...not really but it's nice to have someone to send my cards to). Here is the "recipe" for the products I used:

Cardstock: Groovy Guava, Mellow Moss & Whisper White

Cardstock: Basic Black & Mellow Moss

Ink: Mellow Moss & Basic Black

Embellishments: vellum & Vintage brads

Hope you all had a good weekend and a good Monday!

LNS Circle Challenge

The challenge this week on the LNS Yahoo list was circles! I didn't read the whole email about the challenge because if I had I would have seen that I had to have at least 3 circles. WAIT...I wonder...do the little circles in the edge punch count??? LOL Anyway, this was the card I made for that challenge. The "recipe" is below:

Stamp sets: Morning Soft & One Of A Kind

Cardstock: Watercolor paper, Confetti Cream & Lovely Lilac

Ink: Lovely Lilac & VersaMark (flower is embossed with black embossing powder)

Watercolor Wonder Crayons: Garden Green, Lovely Lilac, Elegant Eggplant, YoYo Yellow

After much nagging from some of the girls on the LNS Yahoo mail list (and, thanks girls...nagging me really does work) I'm adding this card to my blog. I made this card some time back but I simply have not had time to make anything new this week. I do think this stamp set is retired. I am pretty sure the ribbon is no longer available too. But, it will at least give you a small look at some of the cards I make. I am sure I snagged this idea from somewhere but I have no idea where. It could have been from the Stamper's Showcase in the demonstrator's section of the Stampin' Up! website or it could have been from Splitcoast Stampers. If this looks familiar to you and you posted something like this card on one of those two websites please let me know so that I can give you credit! The "recipe" is below:

Stamp sets: Blossoms Abound, Weathered (background) & Close As A Memory
Cardstock: Always Artichoke, Mellow Moss & Very Vanilla
Ink: Mellow Moss, Always Artichoke, Elegant Eggplant, Pale Plum & Basic Black
Embellishments: the purple colored gingham ribbon that is no longer available

I will try to post only images that use "current" stamp sets and colors but for now this was all I had available. Plus, I have some favorite stamp sets that are retired but I just can't keep myself from using them!!!
