Cards for the Troops #5

This is one more of the cards we sent over to Afghanistan! There will be one more Christmas card (that I'll post tomorrow) and then it will be on to the birthday, etc. cards that we made. And, speaking of sending boxes to APO and FPO addresses....did you know that the post office is offering a discount for that kind of thing? The box I sent was one of the large flat rate boxes that should have been $13.95. I only paid $11.95!! I know it's only $2 off but with the economy as it is every little bit helps! Now, for my "recipe":

Stamp sets: A Holly, Jolly Christmas, Four the Holidays

Cardstock/Paper: Very Vanilla, Old Olive, Real Red, Merry Moments Designer Series Paper

Ink: Old Olive, Summer Sun

Other: Top Note die, sponge

Cards for the Troops #4

This is another of the Christmas cards that went in the box to send to Afghanistan! I really like this card! I did not, however, like putting in all those brads! My fingers were raw after making all of the ones of this card that I made! But, it was well worth it for our men and women serving to help keep us free! Here is my "recipe" for this one:

Stamp set: Snow Swirled

Ink: Garden Green

Cardstock/Paper: Very Vanilla, Garden Green, Real Red, Merry Moments Designer Series Paper

Other: Real Red brads

Patterned Pines Thank You Card

Do folks still send thank you cards after receiving Christmas gifts? I know I do! I made this card for the upcoming craft fair here in Holden. Hopefully other folks (especially some of those coming to the craft fair) also send thank you cards after receiving Christmas gifts! (grin) The inspiration for this card came directly from the current mini catalog on page 4! That one was made as a regular Christmas card though. Anyway, here is my "recipe":

Stamp sets: Patterned Pines, Thank You Kindly

Cardstock/Paper: Very Vanilla, Old Olive, Real Red, Merry Moments Designer Series Paper

Ink: Real Red, Old Olive

Other: Stampin' Write markers in Real Red, Old Olive & Crushed Curry, Dimensionals, Mistletoe Ribbon Originals, Eyelet Border punch
