Priceless

Good Morning!! I can't believe how quickly summer has flown by! The nights and early morning hours are getting quite chilly here in Missouri! I do so love fall! The chilly weather and beautiful colors are wonderful. The only bad thing about fall is that winter follows! I was born was born in Texas and grew up on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. We had cold weather but not temps close to zero for days and days on end! And, of course, we had NO snow! I can only remember it snowing down home ONCE and it was flurries at best! When I first moved up here to Missouri I thought winter was SO cool! The cold temps and snow were just THE best! Well, I've been up here for about 20 years now and I am SO over thinking it's THE best! As a matter of fact, I've been over it for a few years now! The only good thing about winter is that spring will follow! (grin)

OK...on to today's card! The inspiration for this card came from Sharon Graham. Sharon is a Stampin' Up! demonstrator too. She posted her card on the Stampers Showcase on the demo side of the Stampin' Up! website. I printed her card off way back in 2007! I know that the stamp set I used is retired but this would also look really cute using the Circle Circus stamp set for the centers of the flowers! So, here's the recipe I used for my card:

Stamp sets: Priceless, Live Your Dreams

Cardstock: Groovy Guava (retired), Blue Bayou (retired), Whisper White

Ink: Groovy Guava (retired), Blue Bayou (retired), Wild Wasabi (retired)

Other: Scallop Circle punch, 1 1/4" Circle punch, 1 3/8 Circle punch, Word Window punch, Wild Wasabi Double Stitched ribbon (retired), Stampin' Dimensionals

Patterned Pines Thank You Card

Do folks still send thank you cards after receiving Christmas gifts? I know I do! I made this card for the upcoming craft fair here in Holden. Hopefully other folks (especially some of those coming to the craft fair) also send thank you cards after receiving Christmas gifts! (grin) The inspiration for this card came directly from the current mini catalog on page 4! That one was made as a regular Christmas card though. Anyway, here is my "recipe":

Stamp sets: Patterned Pines, Thank You Kindly

Cardstock/Paper: Very Vanilla, Old Olive, Real Red, Merry Moments Designer Series Paper

Ink: Real Red, Old Olive

Other: Stampin' Write markers in Real Red, Old Olive & Crushed Curry, Dimensionals, Mistletoe Ribbon Originals, Eyelet Border punch

It's Snow Time

Morning All! Yep....another Christmas card for the upcoming craft fair. I am getting really excited about the craft fair. See, I've never done anything like this! I've always just been a "hobby demo". I've never really tried to sell Stampin' Up! other than to myself! And, I have to say, I have been a REALLY good customer! The craft fair will be filled with folks who are crafty and who like crafty things! I am really hoping to get myself at least a few good customers from this craft fair. At the very least folks who come to the craft fair will know that I am a Stampin' Up! demonstrator and they will know where they can go to get some really good crafting supplies!
This card came from the Stampers Showcase on the demo side of the Stampin' Up! website. The "original" was made by Lisa Freeman. I did change a little bit from her original card. This is another one that I printed off a couple of years ago and just now have gotten around to making! Here's "my" recipe:

Stamp sets: It's Snow Time (retired), Christmas Punch, All Holidays

Cardstock: Real Red, Whisper White, Brocade Blue

Ink: StazOn Jet Black, Real Red, Whisper White, Summer Sun

Other: Red Gingham ribbon, Stampin' Write markers in Real Red, Brocade Blue & Only Orange

I also used some glitter glue made by another company on this card. I have SUCH a difficult time using "regular" glitter. I wear the stuff for WEEKS after I try to use it. That's because I get the stuff EVERYWHERE! Someone on the Late Night Stampers list told me how to make my own glitter glue though. Use some Crystal Effects, mix in the glitter and then if you want color just mix in a tiny bit of reinker in the color of your choice! I am certainly going to give that a try!

God's Blessings

Yes...yet another card for the upcoming craft fair here in Holden, Missouri. I bet you guys will be glad when this fair has come and gone so that you won't have to look at Christmas cards in September!!!! I do have to get busy with some Halloween cards soon so maybe I'll switch over to posting those so that you can look at something different!

I got the inspiration for this card from Splitcoast Stampers. I printed this one off way back in 2007. Part of the URL that printed off on the bottom of the page has "zoeyjack" so that could be who did the original. Anyway, here is the "recipe":

Stamp sets: Peaceful Wishes, God's Blessings

Cardstock: Glorious Green, Chocolate Chip, Very Vanilla

Ink: Chocolate Chip, Glorious Green

Other: 5/8" Chocolate Chip Grosgrain Ribbon, Stampin' Dimensionals, sponge, Vintage Brads

Flakey Friends

This is a retired set but I LOVE it! I love the images on the stamps but more than anything I love the name of the set! It really is "Flakey Friends"!!! I have a pin I wear sometimes during the winter months that is a little plaque type thing that says "Some of my best friends are flakes" and it has a snowflake and a snowman and such dangling off the plaque! I love that pin! Anyway, I made this one for the upcoming craft fair here in Holden, Missouri. I printed this one from the gallery on Splitcoast Stampers way back in 2007! I have no idea who made that card that I printed. If it was you or you know who it was please let me know so I can give credit for the inspiration!
Here is my "recipe":

Stamp set: Flakey Friends

Cardstock: Real Red, Glorious Green, Shimmery White, Whisper White

Ink: StazOn Jet Black

Other: Stampin' Write markers in Only Orange, Basic Gray, Real Red, Glorious Green, Summer Sun, Basic Black, Gable Green, Orchid Opulence, Pretty In Pink, Taken With Teal & More Mustard, red gingham ribbon, Big Shot, Sparkling Snowflakes Texturz Plate, corner punch (for the life of me I can't remember what this punch was called! - if you know please let me know!)

Cold Play

OK....I know this set is retired but you could easily do this with just punching out circles and then adding your own buttons and face! For the "snow" that my little snowman is standing on I just "colored" with a VersaMark pen and then used the white embossing powder. I made this for the upcoming craft fair here in town. Hopefully some folks do still send thank you cards to friends and relatives that give them Christmas gifts!!!! So, here is my "recipe":

Stamp sets: Much Appreciated, Cold Play (I do think both of these are retired)

Cardstock: Bashful Blue, Whisper White

Ink: Basic Black, Basic Brown, VersaMark

Other: VersaMark pen, white embossing powder, Stampin' Write markers in Real Red, Glorious Green & Only Orange, Crystal Effects, Dazzling Diamonds glitter, gray colored glitter glue

NOTE: I HATE using glitter! I wear glitter for it seems like WEEKS after I even try using it! So, instead of using a glue pen and sprinkling glitter on my snowman I use Crystal Effects. What I do is use a small container or cup and squirt in some Crystal Effects. I then add the glitter and use a toothpick to stir it. I use a small paintbrush to "paint" on the glitter and Crystal Effects. The glitter is REALLY glued down and I don't get it all over my fingers and wear it forever!

Branch Out Thank You

Yes....another card for the upcoming craft fair! I actually made two of these. This one as a thank you card and I made another JUST like this except the sentiment I stamped on it says "Thinking of You". The "Thinking of You" one I am sending to From Our Hearts. If you are not familiar with From Our Hearts just look over on the sidebar on the left. There is a little logo that will take you to their site if you click on it.

I CASEd this card from the Stampers Showcase on the demo side of the Stampin' Up! website. The "original" was made by Charlene Monroe. Here is the "recipe" I followed to make my version of Charlene's card:

Stamp sets: Branch Out, Artfully Asian

Cardstock: Whisper White, Pacific Point, Tangerine Tango, YoYo Yellow

Ink: Pacific Point, Chocolate Chip, Tangerine Tango, YoYo Yellow, Kiwi Kiss

Other: Circle Scissor Plus, Crushed Curry Polka Dot ribbon, Eyelet Border punch

Blooming With Love

Here is another card I made for the upcoming craft fair here in Holden, MO. This is almost an exact duplicate of a card from the Stampers Showcase from the demo side of the Stampin' Up! website. The "original" was made by Karen Toomire. I actually made three of these. One for the craft fair, one for me to save to send to someone sometime and one to send to From Our Hearts. From Our Hearts gathers hand-made cards and sends them over to the troops so that they have some nice cards to send home to family and friends. So, alot of the cards you have seen here I have actually made at least two of....one for the craft fair and one to send to From Our Hearts. There is a button on my sidebar that is linked to their site. If you make cards or if you would like to donate money or craft supplies go check them out! OK...now to the recipe for this card:
Stamp set: Blooming With Love
Ink: Staz-On Jet Black
Cardstock: Very Vanilla, Elegant Eggplant, Certainly Celery, Certainly Celery DSP
Other: Watercolor Pencils, Blender Pen, Elegant Eggplant Grosgrain ribbon, Ticket Corner punch
