This card actually served TWO purposes. I made it as a birthday card for one of the ladies on the Late Night Stampers list. It was also my submission for last week's challenge...embossing...on Late Night Stampers. The "inspiration" for this card came from Shannon Mathias on the Stampin' Up! demonstrators website. Here is the "recipe":
Stamp sets: A Wish For You & It's Your Birthday
Cardstock: Whisper White, Riding Hood Red, Summer Sun & Tangerine Tango
Ink: Versamark
Other: yellow, orange & red embossing powder (I mixed these together), Large Dots Texturz plate
NOTE: You can't really see it but "Happy Birthday" is stamped vertically out at the edge of the card. You can see it when you look at it in person but it didn't show up very well in the picture!
oooooooohhhhhh, this is amazing. Where in the world did you get colored embossing powder? I'm a realtive Newbie to stamping, but I've never seen that before. I am going to have to go online and see if I can find some!!!!
ReplyDeleteSO BRIGHT! I need to work with some colors like this, I think I have been yet again inspired to give some bolder choices a try, so THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteHey Baby Baby! I so need to get those stinkin texturz plates...and I say it every time you use them on your cards...As for the colors...You know I am a Tropical Chica so I love them.
