Patty Bennett's Dress Card

It seems like everyone on Late Night Stampers was making a card using Patty Bennett's template so I had to make one too! Patty is one of the most talented people I have seen in a LONG time. Her blog is at http://pattystamps.typepad.com/pattys_stamping_spot/ - just go take a look and I am sure you will agree with me about her being so talented!

Anyway, I made this card as a birthday card for one of the ladies on LNS (Late Night Stampers). Here is my "recipe":

Stamp set: Viola!

Cardstock/paper: Whisper White, Sweet Slumber DSP, Baja Breeze, So Saffron

Ink: Baja Breeze

Other: Circle, Scallop die, Bashful Blue Taffeta ribbon, Style Filigree brad, Squares Texturz Plate

NOTE: To make the white "peek" out from under the dress I just cut two of the scallop circles, one in white and one in the Sweet Slumber DSP. Then, I just trimmed the scallop edge of the white circle and glued it under the Sweet Slumber circle and let it "peek" out.

  3. Very Beautiful. I need to get those stinking texturz plates. I would like to wear this cute dress on a spring day with some flip-flops...

  4. Ok, not EVERYONE is making one of these dress cards. I'm still waiting for my scallop circle die (yes, I finally bought it after I saw one of these cards!) It's gorgeous as always. BTW, my birthday is in September ;)
