Baroque Motif

See? I told you it would not be "all" Christmas cards from now till Christmas! I made this one for the upcoming craft fair too. I figure some folks might want to send out a little thank you card for gifts received at Christmas. I CASE'd this one from the demo side of the Stampin' Up! website. The original card was made by Rhonda Wilkinson. Rhonda had "Kind" instead where I have "Thanks". Anyway, here is my "recipe":
Stamp sets: Baroque Motifs, Live Your Dreams
Cardstock: Whisper White, Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, Ruby Red
Ink: Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive
Other: Pumpkin Pie striped grosgrain ribbon, Flower Fusion, Fire Rhinestone Circle brads

Scenic Season

This is another card I've made for the upcoming craft fair here in town. I really like this one and may end up making this one as my Christmas cards to send family and friends this year. I CASE'd this one from the current Stampin' Up! catalog....page 35! It's not an exact copy but it's close! Here is the recipe I used....
Stamp set: Scenic Season
Cardstock: Shimmery White, Handsome Hunter, Real Red, Whisper White (I put some Whisper White on the inside so that whoever might buy this card will be able to write in it without needing a white gel pen)
Ink: Handsome Hunter
Other: Top Note Bigz die, Big Shot, Real Red Stampin' Write, Sizzix Texturz Plate - Sparking Snowflakes, White Taffeta ribbon, Styled Silver ribbon slide
All products made by Stampin' Up!

City of David

Good Morning one and all! I do hope you all are having a GREAT day so far! It's a bit early here (Holden, Missouri) right now...just before 5 a.m. but I'm sure it's going to be a good day! Why am I sure? Because I just am! I do try to be positive! I do think it helps to have a positive outlook sometimes! Here's hoping my positive outlook doesn't go down the toilet as the day goes on! (grin)
This card is CASE'd from a card I saw on Splitcoast Stampers back in 2007. I printed a copy from the gallery so I can't tell who originally posted this picture. Part of the URL of where this card was posted is printed on the bottom of my printed page and all I have of the name is "barbfar...". So, if you are "barbfar..." or you think you know "barbfar..." let me know the full name so I can give credit where credit is due!
Here's my "recipe" which is pretty much "barbfar...'s" recipe too:
Stamp set: City of David
Cardstock/Paper: Whisper White, Certainly Celery, Metallic gold, Wintergreen DSP
Ink: VersaMark, Always Artichoke (inside sentiment)
Other: Gold embossing powder, heat tool, gold & olive organdy ribbon (retired), Circle Scissor Plus, round gold clip
All products (except the round gold clip) made by Stampin' Up!

Stamp set: Christ Is Born (I do believe this set is retired)
Cardstock: Whisper White, Real Red, Glorious Green
Ink: VersaMark, Basic Black (inside sentiment), Encore! gold

I know it's only August!

OK....I do know it's only August and that this is a Christmas card! I am going to be doing a craft fair right after Thanksgiving this year so I'm getting some cards made now! I don't always have as much time to stamp as I'd like so I have to get started early! I need TWO things from those of you reading this. First, please do me honest about the Christmas cards and projects I'll be posting over the next few months. I've never done a craft fair or anything like that! I need to know just how many of you like what you see. In other words, if you weren't making your own cards and such, would you buy it? And, second, how much would you pay for it? Again, I've never done a craft fair so I have NO clue how much I should sell my cards and stuff for! ANY and all help will be MOST appreciated!
Now, for my recipe:
Stamp sets: A Child Is Born, Branch Out
Cardstock: Whisper White (base of card), Bravo Burgundy, Not Quite Navy, Watercolor paper
Ink: VersaMark, Encore! silver
Other: silver cord, Dark Brown embossing powder, heat tool, corner punch (do you know the name of this punch? it's the one that puts just a notch on each side of the corner), Watercolor Wonder crayons
All products made by Stampin' Up!

Using Metallic Pencils

I was SO bummed when Stampin' Up! stopped selling these metallic pencils! I LOVE them! The "inspiration" for this card came from Splitcoast Stampers. I printed the picture of the card WAY back in 2007! From what I can tell of the file name that printed down at the bottom of the printed page it was a Convention Swap made by "bethswope.....". I'm not sure if that is the lady's full name or not. I am guessing it was a swap from the 2007 Convention. Anyway, here is the "recipe" I used which is very close to the same that the original artist used.
Stamp set: Friends Are Like Flowers
Cardstock: Basic Black, Night of Navy, Brocade Blue, Silver Metallic
Ink: VersaMark, Brocade Blue
Other: Silver embossing powder, heat tool, metallic pencils

Oval Punch Flower

I printed the inspiration for this card from the Stampers Showcase at the demo side of the Stampin' Up! website AGES ago. The original that I printed was made by Steffany Wells. I finally got around to making one! Here's the "recipe" for mine:
Stamp sets: Canvas background stamp, Inspired by Nature
Cardstock: Crushed Curry, Really Rust, Basic Black, Garden Green
Ink: Reall Rust
Other: Small Oval punch, Large Oval punch, Stampin' Dimensionals, Mat Pack, Piercing Tool

LNS Challenge - Monochromatic

Well, this week's challenge over at Late Night Stampers was to make something but make it monochromatic (did I spell that right?). So, here is my submission. I'm going to send this card to my Aunt EmmaLou. She was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. As you might imagine she's having a tough time dealing with the "C" word. She had her breast removed just yesterday. I didn't want to send a "Get Well Soon" type card even though I do hope she is feeling better and cured soon. I thought a "Thinking of You" card would work better given the situation.

So, anyway, here's my recipe for this card:

Stamp set: Upsy Daisy

Cardstock: Bashful Blue, Brocade Blue

Ink: Brocade Blue

Other: Harlequin Texturz plate, Brocade Blue 5/8" Grosgrain Ribbon

All products made by Stampin' Up!

Snow Swirled

OK...I know it's only August and probably WAY too early for Christmas stuff but Christmas stuff is what I'm doing right now. Each year the small town I live in has a craft bazaar right after Thanksgiving. I've decided to get a booth and have some stuff in the craft bazaar this year. So, I'm busy creating stuff for that. I am thinking to make alot of different individual Christmas cards, some 3-D type objects and maybe some of those "kits" with some cards, envelopes and some type of holder. I'm really new to this type of thing so if you have any ideas that I should try let me know!!!!

So, now the card....it's pretty much copied from a card I saw on the Stampers Showcase on the demo part of the Stampin' Up! website. Jean Slayton is the one who made the card that I printed. I didn't follow her "recipe" exactly but it's pretty danged close! Here's my recipe:

Cardstock: Ruby Red, Glorious Green, Whisper White
Stamp set: Snow Swirled
Ink: Encore! Gold, VersaMark, Ruby Red
Other: Ticket Corner punch, gold brads, Scallop Edge punch, gold embossing powder, White taffeta ribbon

I know it's hard to tell in the picture but the snowflakes that I stamped for the "background" on the Glorious Green are done in the Encore! Gold.

LNS Challenge 30 - #1

Hello all! How is everyone? Did you all go on the Royal Blog Tour? There were some really NICE creations to be seen out there! I know I really enjoyed the tour!
This is one of my submissions for the Stampin' Up! Late Night Stampers Challenge of the Week. The challenge was to make a Christmas card. I actually got the idea for this from the current SU catalog! Here is my recipe for this card:
Cardstock: Bashful Blue, Whisper White, Real Red
Ink: Basic Brown, Real Red, VersaMark
Stamp sets: Season of Friendship, Season of Joy
Other: VersaMark pen, Large Oval punch, Scallop Oval punch, Winter White embossing powder
FYI: The snowflakes are embossing. I used the VersaMark pen to "scribble" along the bottom edge of the card and embossed it with the Winter White embossing powder.
