Big Buckly card

This is called a "Big Buckle" card. I got the tutorial from Split Coast Stampers. I made this one sort of "tongue in cheek" with the black and white. You know, sort of a joke type card for someone turning 30 or 40. You know how some of us females can be with DREADING those birthdays!!! Here is a picture of what the card looks like "semi" open:

The "belt" goes on top of the card front and then the end of the "belt" tucks into the punched slot. It's really a cute design for a card! I still am not sure about the Real Red "present" I stamped on this though. I just wanted a little punch of color I think! Here is my "recipe" for this card:

Stamp set: Party Hearty

Cardstock/paper: Basic Black, Whisper White, Night and Day Designer Series Paper

Ink: VersaMark, Basic Black, Real Red

Other: Corner Rounder punch, Word Window punch, 1 3/4" Circle punch, Scallop Circle punch, Modern Label punch, Modern Label die (with Movers & Shapers die), white embossing powder, heat tool, Big Shot, Stampin' Dimensionals

  1. LOVE it! You're giving me some great inspiration today. I plan to spend some time in my craftroom...and I think I'll try this design out. Love black and white for anything and I think the red package is really great.

Thanks for your sweet comments on my Angel post. She is a real sweetheart and doing better everyday.
